FAQs

How can you help me find my missing loved one?

We work with you and the police to help look for your missing loved one. We can interview family members, collect and update photos, and offer fingerprint services to make sure you have all the help and support you need during this difficult time.

Do you work with the police or only on your own?

We work closely with the police and never act alone. Our goal is to support you and law enforcement, making sure everyone shares information and works together to find your missing loved one.

How much do your services cost?

Our help is free for families in need because we are a nonprofit. You won’t have to worry about any charges for the support and services we provide while searching for your loved one.

Can you help with creating and sharing updated photos of my missing family member?

We can help you put together up-to-date photos of your missing family member. We’ll work with you to make sure the pictures are clear and recent, so they can be shared quickly with the public and law enforcement.

How do you keep my family’s information private and safe?

We treat your family’s information with care and respect. Only trusted team members and law enforcement partners can see private details. We do everything we can to keep your information safe and confidential.

How long does it usually take to start helping after I reach out to you?

We start working with you as soon as possible, usually within a day. We know time is important, so we do everything we can to move quickly and begin helping your family right away.

Can you help if my loved one has been missing for a long time?

Yes, we will help you no matter how long your loved one has been missing. We understand that every case is important, and we’re committed to working with you and law enforcement at any stage.

Can you help if my missing family member is not from the D.C. area?

Our main focus is the D.C. area and nearby communities, but we know cases can cross into other places. If your loved one isn’t from the area, we’ll still do our best to help and work with other agencies if needed.

Can you help with getting my loved one’s fingerprints for the search?

Yes, we can help you get your loved one’s fingerprints. We offer fingerprint services that make it easier for law enforcement and other groups to have important information that might help in the search.

Can you help support my family emotionally while we search for our missing loved one?

We know this is an emotional time for you and your family. We are here to listen, support you, and offer understanding as you go through the search for your loved one. You don’t have to face this all alone.

What information do you need from me to start helping with a missing person case?

We’ll ask you for basic details like your loved one’s name, age, physical description, and when and where they were last seen. Photos and any important records, like fingerprints, can also help us get started quickly and work with law enforcement.

Do you charge any fees or require payment for your services?

We do not charge you anything for our services. All the help we provide is free for families, so you never have to worry about fees or hidden costs.

Can I schedule a time to meet with you, and how flexible are you with appointments?

You can set up a time to meet with us, and we do our best to work around your schedule. We know this is a stressful time, so we try to be as flexible and available as possible to support you.

Do you guarantee that you will find my missing loved one?

If I need to reschedule or cancel an appointment, is there a penalty or fee?
